As the wife of a Gospel Preacher, it might seem that living the Christian life would come natually...but it hasn't. For years I struggled and prayed about what God really wanted me to do. Rick Warren's book, "The Purpose Driven Life" helped me find the answer. Chapter 29 began with words I already knew... "You were put on earth to make a contribution". But what was my place in God's plan? He went on to say, "What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of it". I had always believed that too...but what did God give
me to donate from my life? Then I read the three
sentences I had been waiting to hear all my life.
"Don't ignore your interests. Consider how they might
be used for God's glory. There is a reason that you
love to do these things." That was it...and this is it!
Serve with your heart's passion. This is what I love to
do and I will do it for God. It is pure religion for me!
